In addition the building's floor is being designed to have an impact isolation class rating of 54 (IIC 54) , which should minimize any impact transmission from suite to suite. Achieving these high standards requires not only a departure from conventional building technology and materials but a great attention to detail during construction. While the bedrooms and dens are finished with carpet with
underlay which meets our impact isolation requirements, the remaining areas are finished
with an engineered wood plank flooring or marmoleum. In The result of this detail is a floor which is designed to mitigate the impact noises associated with the use of hard flooring in apartment buildings.
