In suite heating
Taking full advantage of the south orientation, the building's passive solar design together with the use of energy efficient walls and windows translates into significantly lower heating requirements. Each suite has its own forced air heating system connected to a central boiler. This system delivers the comfort and control of a forced air system with the efficiency and economy of a central boiler. A series of ducts located in each room will deliver even warmth to all rooms and will ensure that the heat from the winter sun will be distributed throughout the suite. Connected to this system will be the fresh air supply which is user controlled and designed to recover 80% of the heat from the exhaust air through the use of a heat recovery ventilator. Every suite will be metered for heat consumption and users will pay according to use.
