Grandin Green is now well underway with the 9th floor being poured on March 16th and subsequent floors being poured at close to one per week. Framing of the exterior walls has begun. Occupancy is scheduled for Oct 2000. Purchasers can still customize their suites but as interior walls go up the opportunity to do so dimishes.
Grandin Green has recently been recognized by the Federal Government for its environmental design; it is the first multi-unit residential building in Canada to receive a special grant (CBIP) which recognizes and rewards buildings who substantially outperform the new Federal "Green" Building standards.
At the end of December 1999, there will be almost as much of the building structure above the ground as there is underground -- two levels of underground parking and two floors of suites. Once the second floor is completed, approximately one floor per week will be added to the structure until the building is capped off at 15 floors.
